        On September 28, 2020, the final expert review meeting of “Study on the Collaborative Control Strategy of Air Pollutants and Greenhouse Gases in Tianjin Transportation Field” was successfully held at Tianjin Municipal Engineering Design and Research Institute. Representatives and experts from Tianjin Transportation Commission, Tianjin Environmental Protection Research Institute, Energy Research Institute of National Development and Reform Commission, Nankai University and other units attended the meeting.

        “Study on the Collaborative Control Strategy of Air Pollutants and Greenhouse Gases in Tianjin Transportation” is supported by the Institute of Sustainable Development Cooperation (ISC) and the Energy Foundation, Tianjin Municipal Engineering Design and Research Institute, Yuheng Sustainable Transportation Research Center and Tianjin Ecological Jointly completed by the Environmental Monitoring Center. This project studies the need for the coordinated development of energy conservation and emission reduction in the transportation sector, the overall situation of emissions in the transportation sector in Tianjin, evaluates and analyzes the implementation effects of existing energy conservation and emission reduction measures, and combines the experience of cities at home and abroad to estimate the coordination of emissions in the transportation sector in different scenarios To control the effect of emission reduction, formulate and propose policy recommendations for coordinated emission control in the transportation sector, which provide references for the formulation of Tianjin’s green transportation development plan. The delegates and experts at the conference fully affirmed the research results and agreed that the research is based on in-depth quantitative analysis, fully combining factors such as transportation, climate, environmental protection and energy saving, and put forward targeted policy recommendations, which will be the 14th city in Tianjin. The five-period green transportation plan provides important technical support.
