Achievement seminar of “Research on Jiaxing City Cogeneration and Textile Industry Emission Reduction Path” was successfully held

        On September 23, 2020, the “Study on Paths for Emission Reduction in Jiaxing City’s Cogeneration and Textile Industry” results seminar was successfully held in Jiaxing City. Zeng Lei, China Chief Representative of the Institute for Sustainable Development Cooperation (ISC), Liu Wenlong, an investigator of the Jiaxing Development and Reform Commission, and Yang Shouquan, deputy director of the Zhejiang Provincial Economic Information Center, attended the meeting and delivered speeches. From Jiaxing Development and Reform Commission, Jiaxing Economic and Information Bureau, Jiaxing Ecological Environment Bureau and District/County (City) Ecological Environment Bureau, Jiaxing Xinjiaaisi Thermal Power Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Fenglin Dyeing and Finishing Co., Ltd. Representatives participated in this seminar.
        The “Study on Paths for Emission Reduction in Jiaxing City’s Cogeneration and Textile Industry” was supported by ISC, and was jointly prepared by Zhejiang Provincial Economic Information Center and Jiaxing City Development Planning Research Institute. At the meeting, the preparation team reported the research results of the project to experts from the National Climate Strategy Center, Energy Foundation, Zhejiang Eco-Environmental Low-Carbon Development Center, Zhejiang Energy Research Institute, and Zhejiang Energy Group Xingyuan Energy Saving Technology Co., Ltd. The experts at the meeting fully affirmed the report and agreed that the research topic has clear pertinence, clear thinking, solid data, scientific problem analysis system, reliable research conclusions, and has certain technical support significance for the work of the competent department.

        “Jiaxing City Cogeneration and Textile Industry Emission Reduction Path Research” analyzes the carbon emission reduction potential of two industrial industries in the “14th Five-Year Plan” period under different scenarios, and analyzes 10 key reductions in the combined heat and power industry and 13 key reductions in the textile industry. Emission technology has conducted a 5-year cost return analysis, and produced greenhouse gas emission reduction cost curves for two industrial sectors, providing support for the formulation of energy conservation and emission reduction policies for the thermal power industry and the textile industry in Jiaxing and the selection of energy conservation and emission reduction technologies.
